Advocacy I Presentation -- Fall 2022

An advocacy group presentation was on individuals with Frontotemporal Dementia as if it were being presented to their first-time caregivers. This assignment gave me knowledge on how to properly educate and present information to different populations and components that make up an effective and interactive presentation to enhance audience education.

Advocacy II- Summer 2024

Continuing Education Project: The Importance of Mental Health on Fieldwork Performance​

This group presentation focused on creating and advocating for a continuing education course that emphasized the importance of student mental health on fieldwork performance and completion.

Course Development Project: Graduate Gateway: The path from Undergraduate to Graduate studies

This group presentation focused on developing and advocating for a course designed for incoming OTD students. This emphasized group cooperation to identify a need and design for the course.

Advocacy III- Fall 2024

Advocacy Plan: Advocacy for Interprofessional Collaboration (IPC) Between Occupational Therapists and Assistive Technology Professionals within Assistive Technology Programs to Improve Holistic Client Care

This advocacy plan promotes the advancement of  IPC between ATPs and OTs within AT programs to better client care, work environments, and job satisfaction.

Advocacy IV: Leadership Development PLan

This leadership development plan outlines a strategic and structured approach toward implementing and cultivating leadership skills to become a transformative and impactful OT. Plan describes how I plan to create a strong leadership foundation to excel in both roles as a non-traditional OT specializing in AT and a patient engagement manager to enhance community outreach for AT programs, ensuring long-term success in communication and leadership skills and professional fulfillment.

Advocacy IV: Business Plan

This group project required the formation of a business plan to create an independent living facility. This included the creation of a vision, mission, floor plan, budget, service providing, program development, and more. This project foster skill building through collaberation, financial management, and holistic thinking int services and programming that could best accommodate independent living residents in a rehab facility.
